Temple Door

Heavy carved doors on an old stone wall. Pull the brass ring β€” they groan open on real hinges and a different inner room waits each time: the lamp sanctum, the flagpole courtyard, the pillar hall, the night aarti.

The doors
  • Real door physics
Drag the ring β€” panels foreshorten on their hinges, creaking and squeaking as they go. Let go early and they spring shut; pull far enough and they open fully on their own.
  • Four inner rooms
The lamp sanctum with its garlanded shrine Β· the flagpole courtyard with arguing pigeons Β· the long carved pillar hall Β· the night aarti with circling flames β€” never the same twice in a row.
  • The rooms answer
While the doors stand open, tap inside β€” the lamp steadies, the pigeons scatter a step, your tap echoes down the hall, the aarti circles faster.
  • Opens by itself
Hold nothing β€” the doors open for a while, glow along the seam, then swing slowly shut. It counts your openings.
