Palm Reading Palan

Palm Reading Palan

What this is

Palm Reading Palan is a samudrika or mark reading — the classical art of reading the body's signs: the palm's lines, the figure's proportions, the marks, the twitch, the shadow.

History & tradition

Samudrika Shastra — the ocean of marks — is the ancient science of reading character and fortune from the body's signs. Alongside it run the specialized divinations: chaya (the shadow), sphurana (the twitch), mandu (the measure), and the minor divining arts the Tamil tradition preserved.

How the tradition practiced it

The traditional reader looked at the whole body — not the palm alone — reading the lakshana marks, the proportions, the gait and the voice. The reading was always relative to the whole, never a single sign.

What it covers

• The sign or mark's classical meaning
• What its placement and form add
• The balance the tradition reads for
• What it asks and what it favors
• The counsel carried by the sign

Deeper detail

Describe the sign or feature — the module reads it against the classical lakshana and omen tables, with the tradition's reasoning shown.
