House Lords Table

What this is

House Lords Table is a birth-chart reading — the natal chart drawn from your birth moment, with the placements and the divisional/bhava analysis this module focuses on.

History & tradition

The natal chart — the sky as a twelve-house wheel anchored to the rising sign — is the foundation of Parashari Jyotisha. The varga (divisional) system multiplies it into sixteen harmonic charts, each specializing in one domain — D9 for marriage, D10 for career — a tradition going back to the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra.

How the tradition practiced it

The traditional astrologer drew the rasi chart first, then the navamsa, then whichever varga the question needed. Every placement was read twice — once in the birth chart, once in its division — before a word was spoken.

What it covers
  • The placements this chart lays out
  • The house/sign meanings for each position
  • The division's specialty (where relevant)
  • Strength, dignity and aspect notes
  • What the pattern says for the life-area
The twelve bhavas — what each house governs
1 1st house The self — body, vitality, temperament; the lagna itself.
2 2nd house Wealth, speech, family — what is gathered and what is said.
3 3rd house Courage, siblings, effort — the bold arm of the chart.
4 4th house Home, mother, comforts — the foundation and the heart's rest.
5 5th house Children, intellect, merit — creation and the fruits of past good.
6 6th house Enemies, disease, debt — the house of struggle and service.
7 7th house Spouse and partnership — the western door, the other.
8 8th house Longevity, the hidden, the sudden — what lies beneath.
9 9th house Dharma, father, fortune — the luck and the law.
10 10th house Career, authority, the works — the midheaven of the life.
11 11th house Gains, fulfillment, the elder kin — what arrives.
12 12th house Loss, expenditure, moksha — what is released and what lies beyond.

Common questions
What is a kundli?

The birth chart — the twelve-house map of the sky at your birth moment, anchored to the lagna rising on the eastern horizon.

What is a navamsa (D9)?

The ninth division of the chart — each sign split into nine — traditionally read for marriage and the soul's strength.

Why divisional charts?

Each varga magnifies one domain — D10 career, D7 children — so a single question gets a chart built for it.
