A box that opens Tap the red sleeve and the cardboard tray slides out — ten matches in a row, heads up.
A match that burns Tap one and it lifts out, strikes with a flare, and burns down over nine quiet seconds — flame, smoke, creeping char — then a soft puff and a blackened stub.
Ten a day Ten matches each day. Spend them all and the box sits empty until tomorrow — a fresh box arrives with the morning.
