Promotion / Transfer is a worldly-matters reading — the astrology of career, wealth, property or the specific question asked, read from the relevant chart factors and timing.
The astrology of worldly matters — the 10th house for career, the 11th for gains, the 4th for property — is the consultative core of Jyotisha. Muhurta times the act; the natal chart shows the capacity; the transits show the season.
The traditional astrologer weighed the relevant house, its lord, the dasas running and the transiting grahas before pronouncing on the worldly matter — a career asked about in a weak 10th-lord dasa read differently than in a strong one.
Enter the birth details (and the partner/date where asked) — the module computes the relevant placements and transits, then reads them against the classical significations.
The 10th — its lord, its occupants and Saturn as the karaka — read alongside the D10 divisional chart in the tradition.
Yes — that is what muhurta is for; the module reads the timing windows for the act in question.
The 2nd and 11th houses, their lords, Jupiter as the karaka, and the dasa/transit timing of when they deliver.
